Rainee Wise has spent over 20 years making things for kids — she worked as an assistant animator at Don Bluth Studios (All Dogs Go to Heaven 2) and DreamWorks, illustrated Team Umizoomi books for Nickelodeon, and was an interactive designer and animator for CBC Kids.
But here's the thing school never told her: the daydreaming and doodling she got in trouble for? Those turned out to be superpowers. Rainee is dyslexic, and reading was hard for a long time — so now she makes the kind of books she wishes she'd had.
